G2C College Planning Services for Juniors

High school juniors
Prepare for college app season during junior year

At this stage in your junior's college planning process, your family may be thinking about choosing a major, test prep, college tours, creating a college list, and the college application timeline.

If you'd like assistance along the way, one of these college planning services at Growing2College might be helpful:

This is a great option for students who would like to understand their strengths, identify their interests, and learn more about which majors/careers might be the best fit.

Ideally, students have a college list finalized before application season begins, so getting started in fall or spring semester of junior year is a good option for many students.

I work with high school juniors and parents to create a balanced list of Reach, Target, and Likely schools that are a good fit academically, socially, geographically, and financially.

As an aside, college tours are an important part of college planning for juniors. See my post for helpful College Tour Tips.

Typically, students like to get started with the app/essay process right after junior year ends so that most of the work is completed in the summer before senior year. Roster spots for Common App and essay coaching open in February for students who want to start the process in early summer.

Hourly assistance may be a better fit for families of juniors who would like a more DIY approach to college planning, but have some questions and want to make sure their students are on track. Students and parents can focus on absolutely any high school or college planning topic(s) during their hourly consultation.

If you would like help determining which college planning services are best for your family, request a free 20-minute consultation.
